Two-time Players Champion Tiger Woods has decided not to play at TPC Sawgrass next week. The decision to do so comes as no real surprise, given his comments from last Tuesday night after his final TGL match of the season. “Not really,” Woods said when asked if he had entertained the idea of making a start in Florida before The Masters in April.

Tiger Woods is not entered in the 144-player field for The Players Championship, which begins next week at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass with 48 of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

This is the final year in which Woods is exempt for the competition on the back of his win at the 2019 Masters.
