New details emerged as 23-year-old Autumn Donna Ascencio Romero was arraigned on murder, manslaughter and vehicular homicide charges and ordered held without bail.

The fatal single-vehicle crash happened on northbound I-225 south of the Alameda Avenue exit just before 6 p.m. Sunday, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025. Police are advising a different route if possible as major delays are expected on U.S. 131 North.
