Postmaster General pledges to work with Elon Musk's DOGE to address the service's "big problems." USPS currently employs about 640,000 workers tasked with making deliveries from inner cities to rural areas and even far-flung islands.

The U.S. Postal Service said it expects to cut 10,000 employees. USPS offered voluntary early retirement to those employees.
