Former India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is reportedly likely to part ways with Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Three teams have had a longer streak of failing to chase 180-plus targets in the IPL - 15 by Punjab Kings (2015 to 2021), 12 by RCB (2019 to 2023) and 11 by Sunrisers Hyderabad (2020 to 2023).

Ahmed was bought by CSK in the 2025 IPL auction for INR 4.8 crores. He has impressed with the new ball, making a solid start with a three-wicket haul against MI in the opening match.
