New Jersey’s current governor, Phil Murphy, is publicly backing one of its former governors, Jim McGreevey, as McGreevey attempts to pull off a political comeback in a bid for Jersey City mayor.

McGreevey, a Democrat, served in New Jersey's top office from 2002 to 2004 and ran for Jersey City mayor in 2023 against incumbent Steven Fulop. CBS News New York's Jessica Moore reports.
