Snow levels will mostly sit around 7,500′ through the day. Heavy snow will fall in the northern mountains with scattered snow showers in western New Mexico, the Sandias, and Sacramento Mountains.
Those areas are looking at snow accumulations of 5-10 inches and wind gusts up to 45 mph. The Elkhead Mountains, Park Mountains, and Flat Tops are looking at 4-8 inches and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
An additional 5-8 inches of snow is forecast for the northern mountains and 3-5 inches in the central mountains. Snow accumulations between 1-3 inches are forecast for the southern mountains.
The Eastern Sawatch Mountains above 11,000 feet, La Garita Mountains above 11,000 feet, and Eastern San Juan Mountains above 10,000 feet are looking at 4-8 inches with wind gusts up to 50 mph.
