The number of reports of Spotify issues on Downdetector is continuing to spike in the US and UK – this is now the biggest Spotify outage I can remember for a while. We're now at over 27,000 reports in the US, and 17,000 in the UK.

Spotify has experienced a service outage that’s left users around the world unable to stream music. Outages detected on the Downdetector website, which tracks social apps for problems, were first noted around 1pm UK local time (5am PT). Thousands of users in the U.S., UK and Europe have reported they have no service, suggesting a global outage.

Tens of thousands of Spotify users around the world have reported they were unable to stream music on the app. Downdetector, which tracks platforms, showed more than 20,000 people reported Spotify was not functioning on Wednesday afternoon from 13:30 GMT. Thousands more reported issues in the US and parts of Europe.
