The kite was flown to celebrate eryue'er, the second day of the second Chinese lunar month, also known as longtaitou, or Dragon Head Raising Day. "It took us 66 days to create this dragon-head kite.

Dragon boat races originated in China more than 2,000 years ago. Dragon boats are 40 feet long, with 20 paddlers, a drummer and a driver. The race course is 250 meters.
