Hurricane Iona strengthens as new tropical depression forms; no threats to Hawaii

H ONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A new tropical depression has formed in the Central Pacific as Hurricane Iona continues to strengthen southeast of Hawaii. Forecasters said newly-formed Tropical Depression Two-C is now moving westward, following in the track of Iona. Both are forecast to remain well south of the islands and have no effects on Hawaii.
