The roots of the Harbor Lights bar go back to the Civil War era. Built in the 1860s it has lasted through Prohibition and housed multiple businesses.

In 1937, the bar became known as Joe's Coast Inn. Later in the World War II years, ... From 1971 to 1975, the bar was known as Dyne Harbor Lights and was operated by Wally Jeske.
