Hamilton Pool Preserve will remain closed through early July - MSNHamilton Pool Preserve will remain closed to visitors until at least early July. The Central Texas pool will open at the earliest on July 3, after it has been closed for several weeks.
Hamilton Pool also has hiking trails, picnic areas and other visitor activities. Reservations cost $12 per vehicle plus $8 per adult and $3 per senior over age 62.
However, the park is still open for hiking. Hamilton Pool also closed in 2023 and 2024 due to high bacteria levels. Hamilton Pool isn't the only natural body of water currently closed for swimming.
The preserve, operated by Travis County Parks at 24300 Hamilton Pool Road, has remained open for hiking. Visitors are required to make reservations for the site for morning or afternoon sessions.
