Donald Trump has accused the BBC of taking Hamas’s word as “total truth” in a fresh attack on the broadcaster. Speaking on behalf of the US President, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt criticised the BBC for repeatedly correcting its reporting from the territory about aid distribution.

"The claim the BBC took down a story after reviewing footage is completely wrong," the British state broadcaster said in response to Leavitt.
