HP Omen 15 – Battery life If there's one negative about the HP Omen, it would be battery life. Using PCMark 10's battery life benchmark, the Omen lasted 2 hours and 17 minutes before powering down.

The HP Omen 15 showed no signs of thermal throttling during an extended stress test. During the stress test, the CPU leveled out to 78 degrees Celsius with a 3.2GHz clock speed and 34.9W power draw.

The HP Omen 15 starts at $1,000 with AMD's Radeon RX550, but you'll have to shell out $1,300 if you want NVIDIA's GTX 1050. The top-end version with the GTX 1060, meanwhile, goes for around $1,659.

The HP Omen 15 has some trialware and other bloat software installed, including McAfee antivirus. Also, there are the usual HP support apps that are useful in keeping the system updated.
