It’s 2025, and the company has announced yet another rebranding—this time, it’s the logo that’s changing. For the uninitiated, Max’s logo previously flaunted the bright blue color.
I can’t quite stop thinking about the HBO Max rebrand — not because of the logo itself (though I do love a good logo), but because of what it reflects about where we are as a society right now.

Again. Two years after rebranding from HBO Max to just Max with new a bright blue-and-white logo, the Warner Bros Discovery-owned streaming service is making an update to its logo.
That includes branding things as “HBO shows,” as well as “Max shows.” And most recently, a rebrand for Max has brought its logo and color scheme more in line with the traditional HBO look.
It's unclear whether HBO Max will include the same Discovery+ programming. In January 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery hiked the price of HBO Max without ads from $14.99 to $15.99 per month in the U.S.
