During the last 70 years, services at Grace Baptist Church have been held in three buildings, on three sites, but the church’s foundation has remained solid: the Bible.

Grace Baptist Church was formed in the late 1970s, and the church building was erected in 1987. The church had its heyday in the 1990s but numbers declined in recent years.

The church has about 480 members on its roll, and an average worship service attracts about 225 parishoners, Curtis said. With the ordination of the five new deacons, Grace Baptist now has 14 deacons.
