Unlike this unruly golden retriever, most puppies often sleep for great part of the day, which is essential for their growth. Dr. Jacqueline Brister says on the Embrace Pet Insurance website that young puppies, those under 2 weeks of age, sleep around 90 percent of the time, which means an average of 22 hours a day.
