Dragon Ball DAIMA has finally changed that, with Vegeta defeating a Tamagami with his version of Super Saiyan 3, but are there any differences between his version of the transformation, and Goku's?

With Goku having lost his Fuse Bugs, and the potential to form Vegito with them, unlocking Super Saiyan 4 is now the only way for Goku to defeat Third Eye Gomah in Dragon Ball DAIMA.

For minor power jumps, you may only need 1 or 2 skill points, but if you’re looking to go straight from base Goku directly to Super Saiyan Blue, you’ll need as many as 3.

Just like in the anime, Goku will unlock his first form, Kaioken, after defeating the invading Saiyan, Vegeta. His iconic Super Saiyan 1 form can be unlocked after defeating Frieza on Namek.
