The God of War Ragnarok Valhalla ending is a perfect close to the DLC. Not only does Kratos finish his path of self-reflection, but some revelations about what comes next are teased.

It is the eighth installment in the God of War series, the eighth chronologically, and the sequel to 2010's God of War III.

Considering God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarok take place back-to-back and Kratos is traveling with Mimir, it seems reasonable to assume Valhalla takes place after the events of the 2023 title.
