The cause of the explosion is under investigation. As of 2:30 p.m., the home was still unsafe for firefighters to search through, according to Gladstone Fire Battalion Chief Mike Desaultels.

The American Red Cross, ATF, Gladstone Fire and Police Departments and more were on the scene of the house explosion that killed a man and caused significant damage on Saturday, May 31.
