Flint Assembly, which has approximately 4,600 hourly and salaried employees, was built in 1947 off Van Slyke Road, making it GM’s longest-running assembly plant in North America.

The Escalade will be produced at GM's Orion Assembly Plant in Orion, Michigan, starting in 2027. The Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks will also move production to Orion.
