Rudyard Lake, near Leek, has dropped to 3.55m (11.6ft) below full, which adds up to about 30% capacity, according to the Canal and River Trust (CRT), which owns the site.
Lake Travis is a man-made reservoir that expands over 18,929 acres. It sits at 44.7% full with an average water level of 638.82 feet as of Tuesday, November 5, according to Water Data for Texas.
Aided by recent floods, the lake level has gone from 45.3% full on May 21 to 67.2% today. “The lake was down about 32 feet,” said Suchan. “Today it's down about 17 feet from normal.” ...
For perspective, the lake levels were recorded at 99.59 feet three months ago on April 17, 1,002.79 feet six months ago on January 17 and 1,007.41 feet a year ago on July 17, 2024.
