SERDANG, May 13 (Bernama) -- Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has embarked on a freshwater crayfish farming project as part of efforts to enhance national food security and conserve aquatic ecosystems.
Official data show that Tangzai village now produces 2.55 tons of crayfish per hectare in its rice-crayfish farming system, with annual profits hitting 150,000 yuan per hectare.
