Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis just released Lagos Paris London, his EP as Yannis & The Yaw which is a collaboration with the late afrobeat legend Tony Allen.

It's a nice sentiment, but these songs aren't Foals' anymore, they belong to the crowd. In August the band will hit another career landmark when they headline Reading & Leeds Festival.

During the early days of Foals, Philippakis filled the band’s shared house in Oxford with the sounds of Fela Kuti. When they finally got together, the magic was instantaneous.
