Florida was the third state to secede from the Union during the Civil War. Around 15,000 Floridians fought in the Civil War, representing the highest percentage of any Confederate state.

They believe the Pioneer Trail — with more than 12 miles connecting recreation areas along Black Creek in Jennings State Forest — is one of the best hiking trails in Florida. Maybe even the best.
