The rare copper dagger was found alongside abundant ceramic remains, flint arrowheads, polished stone axes, and shell ornaments, indicating that the cave has been frequented for millennia.
Two excavations were conducted in the 1970s and 1980s. The human remains, as well as some artifacts including a flint dagger, were found at multiple spots in the shaft during these digs.
