The Nittany Valley Sports Centre has run flag football programs since 2019, and now girls have a league of their own.

NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent said the league is already making plans for flag football’s involvement in the 2032 Summer Olympics in Brisbane, Australia, and that the NFL thinks flag football as an Olympic sport will be key to making the NFL a truly global brand.

WILLIAMSBURG — Football isn’t just for boys anymore and Williamsburg is leading the charge with the first-ever girls NFL-Sanctioned Flag Football League coming to the Historic Triangle later this spring. Bernie Neighbor, a local personal trainer, and her friend Donovan Bridgeforth got together to start the program.
