Fallen Feathers during GDC 2025, and I immediately knew that I would have a good time with the full game. I am just getting into the Soulslike genre, but in the last few years, a ton of more accessible entries have entered the lineup.

Fallen Feathers, which invests as much into its main character’s wardrobe as the rest of the action-RPG experience. Bai Wuchang is a female pirate who can dodge, parry, and punish all manner of demonic foes from the underworld whether she’s wearing ancient armor or skin-tight underwear.

Soulslikes are a dime a dozen, yet the multi-layer, fast-paced, and exciting gameplay of Wuchang Fallen Feathers does enough to stick out in a crowded genre.
