After working there for 12 years and managing it for eight, Misty Ball and her husband Scott purchased Rochester’s Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que restaurant at 431 NW 16th Ave. on April 1.

Famous Dave’s All-Star BBQ Series is returning to Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday, June 21. Dave Anderson, founder of the full-service chain, will be in attendance, according to representatives.

When it opens in its new digs on East Speedway on May 6, Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que will ditch the table service and go fast-casual in what could become a new model for the national restaurant chain.
