F1 has caved in to pressure from stationery giant 3M and modified the trademark filing for its own logo in order to put the brakes on a long-running legal battle.

The logo that F1 selected isn’t the only one it applied for. It made trademark applications for two alternatives which haven’t been opposed but have also fallen flat with fans.
