Van freight availability slid 2.4% for the week while van capacity went the other way, up 1.9%. The load-to-truck ratio decreased 4.3%, from 2.7 to 2.6 as a national average.
Load boards include Loadlink in Canada and TransCore 3sixty powered by the DAT Network in the United States, which has set the industry standard for the spot freight marketplace since 1978.
The national average van load-to-truck ratio fell from 3.9 in June to 3.8, meaning there were 3.8 available loads for every van on the DAT network. The reefer load-to-truck ratio was 7.2, up from 7.0.
