Students helped shape a resolution under consideration by Evergreen Public Schools’ board regarding the rights of undocumented students and protocols for responding to immigration enforcement.

Evergreen’s board members postponed a planned Feb. 11 vote on the resolution because nearly 20 students, parents and community members testified at that meeting.

Another fee familiar to students is the clean energy fee, which is being increased for the first time since it was first implemented in the 2005-06 school year, according to the college.

When the Evergreen Park Public Library invited McArthur to show her Inktober drawings, she initially did a solo exhibit in 2022 but added her high school students’ work for 2023’s display.
