Microsoft is making several changes to the 'blue screen of death' in Windows 11. The blue screen of death is the error message-on-a-blue-background that appears on Windows devices when they run into issues.

Microsoft in a recent Windows Insider blog said the updated user interface additionally supports their goal of getting users back to productivity as fast as possible.

The infamous Blue Screen of Death — oft-shortened to BSOD — is changing, and many fans aren’t happy with its new look. While seeing the BSOD was never a good thing, the long-time version displayed a fair amount of information regarding the cause of the crash or error.
