The Calcutta High Court has directed the Centre to resume implementation of the MGNREGA scheme in West Bengal from August 1, ending a suspension that began in March 2022 due to alleged irregularities.

The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday directed the Union government to resume implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in West Bengal from August 1.
