Fellow “Lord of the Rings” alum Orlando Bloom also said in a 2019 interview on “The Howard Stern Show” that he was paid just $175,000 for all three movies to star as Legolas.

Wood is still best-known for the starring role in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, though at this point, most of his work has more in common with this reboot.

Wood, 44, told Business Insider at the 2025 Texas Film Awards that his pay for the Lord of the Rings franchise was not massive, despite it becoming one of the highest-grossing film series of all time.
