It added a touch of futuristic vibe to the extremely elegant dress. The subtly loose fit bodice of the yellow hued gold gown added more drama to the look. It then fell into a gorgeous ball skirt.

The gown itself was a high-necked citron number with gold and silver details. For President Nixon's 1973 inaugural ball, Pat wore a slightly more fashion-forward design by Adele Simpson.
