The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning for the area: “PRE EVACUATION WARNING for 1 mile around 13065 Hammer Rd due to a wildland fire near 13065 Hammer Rd. Be prepared to leave.

The restrictions in El Paso County went into effect at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, and will remain in effect until they are modified (pursuant to El Paso County Ordinance #22-001).

The El Paso and Teller County Sheriff's Offices implemented Stage One Fire restrictions. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says they looked at current fire conditions when making their decision.
