The L.A. Fire Department said the collision was reported at about 6:09 p.m. in the 600 block of North Echo Park Avenue. Two vehicles were involved, and at least one pedestrian was hit.

ECHO PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A new fight is brewing over a fence around Echo Park Lake, controversially installed two years ago to keep out homeless encampments from the park.

Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment crews removed 35.7 tons of solid waste from Echo Park Lake since the park's closure on March 25. Meanwhile, the park could reopen by the end of the month.
