The city's densest cluster of art -galleries—about 100—can be found not in the West End but in the East End's Shoreditch section. And the pace of change is set to quicken.

East London has some great running routes. My favorite is through the canals, which connect up different parks and neighborhoods. You can run from Clissold Park to Victoria Park to Olympic Park.
