After the devastating damage left behind from the storm, a 12-mile stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway between Blowing Rock and Linville Falls is back open - from milepost 305.2 to milepost 317.5.

When Chimney Rock State Park first reopened, hours were limited, only open Fridays through Mondays. At the end of July, it will be open all week, with reservations from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The National Park Service opens a 12-mile stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC after repairs. More sections will open as recovery from Hurricane Helene continues.
