Saudi Arabia on Tuesday reiterated that it will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without the creation of an independent Palestinian state.

President Donald Trump’s plans for the US to take over Gaza have been met with anger and dismay in Palestine and the Arab world, and raised fears of reigniting conflict in the region. Palestinian leaders on Wednesday said they would defy attempts to remove them from their land.

Trump made the remarks on Gaza during a joint press conference in the White House with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu standing beside him. He also suggested that the US develop the land but gave no details on who would be allowed to live there.
