DENVER — Free bus service through downtown Denver is back with a new name. The Regional Transportation District (RTD) renamed its 16th Street Free MallRide service as the 16th Street FreeRide.

PCL Construction is soon to complete the $149-million 16th Street Mall makeover project in downtown Denver, part of a $937-million spending package to elevate infrastructure across the city.

Two years into the Mile High City’s much-anticipated renovation of the 16th Street Mall, Denverites are seeing signs of life at the end of the long and not-so-winding I.M. Pei-designed road.
