Texas DPS dedicates memorial to fallen officers at Austin headquarters
The granite and bronze memorial features a statue of a DPS trooper paying respects at the grave of Texas Ranger Moses Smith Hornsby, the first documented Texas Ranger killed on duty in 1835.
