U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer said anyone who was following the Jeffrey Epstein case would "learn next to nothing new" by reading the grand jury materials.

DOJ leaders have also asked two federal judges in New York, where prosecutors brought cases against Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, to unseal grand jury transcripts. And New York’s federal courts have generally taken a less stringent approach to grand jury secrecy.

The ruling, following a similar rejection in Florida, noted that the material contained almost nothing that wasn’t already known.
