Meteorologists are monitoring two areas that could strengthen into tropical storms later this month and bring impacts to the U.S.

Hurricane Season: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecast a range of 13 to 19 total named storms during the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs from June 1 through November. That would make for an above-average season.
