Councillor Emma Blain has been elected the new Lord Mayor of Dublin. The Fine Gael politician succeeded former Councillor James Geoghegan making her the 357th Lord Mayor of Dublin.

The former Lord Mayor of Dublin Michael Donnelly has died. Tributes are pouring in for the late Mr Donnelly who held the office of the Lord Mayor from June 1990 to June 1991.
