A site at the headwaters of a Crooked Creek tributary will benefit from funding awarded last week by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

The state Fish and Boat Commission is closing the Rosston boat launch in Manor Township at Crooked Creek and the Allegheny River for repairs beginning Monday, Aug. 29, through Sept. 23.

Due to ongoing drought and low water, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said Thursday it is closing fishing in the Crooked River and Ochoco Creek from Saturday until at least Oct. 31.
