BAR HARBOR, Maine (WABI) - Bar Harbor’s Criterion Theatre will soon reopen under new ownership. A foundation formed by summer residents Stephen and Allison Sullens will own the theatre.

The Criterion Theatre in Bar Harbor is one of only two art deco theaters in the state. It also holds another distinctive title- the Cottage Street landmark was a popular Speakeasy during Prohibition..
