Seeking to identify long-term shifts in how the criminal justice system operates in Cook County, Loyola University researchers and local officials have launched a new data project.

The blitz, led by the Cook County, Illinois, regional organized crime task force, involved more than 100 jurisdictions and over 30 retailers, including Home Depot, Macy’s and Target.
