Today British Colonial is enjoying a new popularity. “Every major furniture company has a reproduction line and they’re all good,” says Van Tress.

He suggests that one probably could pick up a ”reasonably good” 19th-Century New England fall-front desk for $1,000 to $2,000 less than the $6,000 Colonial Williamsburg reproduction.
