College football season is rapidly approaching and there’s a few players in the American Athletic Conference that one should keep an eye on.

In his preseason SEC football power rankings this week, the veteran college football scribe has Alabama at No. 3 behind Texas and Georgia -- the two teams who met in last year's conference title game.

Alabama's defense is as deep and talented as we've seen in a while despite one crazy stat coming out of the All-SEC selections by the media.

If there is a reason to buy stock in the 2025 Hawks, it's because of the offensive line. Seth Anderson, Trace Thaden, Liam Becher, Ben Buxa, Caleb Olson and Carter Gorder bring back an experienced group that was solid in 2024 despite, for some, playing ahead of schedule due to transfer portal exits in the roster ahead of them on the depth chart.
